Item Analysis is a useful tool for determining the quality of question items used in student assessment. It is a very important step in monitoring the quality of examinations and becomes necessary if item banking is considered.
This one-day workshop will expose participants to the basic concepts used in Item Analysis, such as the Difficulty and Discrimination Indices. Participants will have hands-on experience in calculating these indices as well as be taught practically how to use the information to improve the quality of the question items.
